Taxi rates are no longer regulated by the city of Ann Arbor. Prices may vary based on your location or pickup zone. This is effective with the passage of PA345 of 2016 (HB4637), the licensing and regulation of taxicabs and taxicab drivers is no longer under the control of the City of Ann Arbor. Taxicab regulation and licensing is managed by the State of Michigan. Each taxi company has the right to set their own meter and prices. This is now legal in most jurisdictions in the state of Michigan. Please do your own research when choosing a taxi service. Limo rates are also controlled by the individual company.
